No human, nor any living thing, survives long under the eternal sky. The most beautiful women, the most learned men, even Mohammed, who heard Allah’s own voice, all did wither and die. All is temporary. The sky outlives everything. Even suffering.

After enduring a week of hard work on the school projects in Nairobi, the team made it thru to a well deserved break for a couple days. We ventured on a several hour journey filled with bumpy dirt roads to arrive in the Maasai Mara.

For me, this land holds a very mystical presence. When here, I feel such power in the wonder of nature.
This year we were also able to see the start of the wildebeest migration. It blew my mind to think that what we witnessed was only a fraction of the number of wildebeests that will eventually fill the Maasai plains on their eventual migration. Just listen to them run thru the tall grass….

The Mara is a place for me to relax and contemplate the beauty that our world gives us.
and who doesn’t love a place with sunsets such as this….
