My former CFO was a huge Rush fan, and was always going on the road to see their shows, raging on and on about how each one surpassed the previous concert.

I was never a big fan myself, but when their R40 tour came to the SLC, I decided to give it a whirl. I totally get the followings of Grateful Dead and Phish fans, so I thought that Rush fans must be onto something as well. What I didn’t realize is just how freakin’ fantastic the show would be! The technics of the concert, from the lights and lasers to fireworks and cannon explosions, made it a true Rock ‘n Roll show. You pumped your fists along with the beat, played air guitar and air drums alongside the band, and screamed like a kid in a candy store after each epic song.It may have taken Rush forty years of touring and making albums for me to become a fan, but I know get why people say that seeing Rush play live is an unforgettable experience. Rush rules!

Wench, bring my ale, what say you?
