My Walkabout

Colorado has freedom most States don’t. Freedom of the open road through the expansive Rocky mountains. You get all your sunshine in a little bag and road trip to whatever mountain town destination you choose.

I head to Pagosa Springs, home of the world’s deepest natural geothermal hot springs.

“Pag-osah” means healing waters from the Southern Ute tribes that have called this place home since time began.

You can feel the goodness of the steam as you walk along the rivers edge. The sulfur smell embeds your pores.

I’m reminded of the words of John Muir :

“I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out until sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in.”
