I wanted to believe the hype.

The lights go down, the curtain goes up. The Simon & Garfunkel Story begins….
I wouldn’t say I was disappointed exactly. It just wasn’t what I was hoping for. I was looking for a true theater – style play about the lives of these two incredible singer-songwriters.
What I got was more of a monologue told by two actors looking like Art and Paul. They sang well enough, and there was some interesting tidbits they told, but I wouldn’t really call it “acting“.

On the upside though, I do love their music, and since I can’t see the originals play together, this was a close second.
As far as waxing nostalgic though, the show hit the spot, and I’ll take that.
