I tried a new hotel over the summer for my work trips to Tucson, Arizona. Right off the interstate, in an area that reminded me of rural Mexico, The Tuxon is surprisingly offbeat and charming. A total hipster vibe that I loved.
Being a typical Arizona summer meant not many people were staying here, (I’m sure when I return over the winter this place will be packed) so I had the bar and pool basically to myself.
I’m also not a big fan of motels in general, but the Tuxon is gated and locked with security, leaving me not only feeling safe, but also not worried at all about my vehicle. I enjoyed beautiful mornings and evening sunsets, sipping Mexican lagers after the work day was done, and sleeping well in a very comfortable bed.
I hope this motel stays in business, as it it a great new place for me to go to in the Tucson area. Give the Tuxon a try if in the area, I think you too may also be pleasantly surprised.
