I’ve dropped twenty pounds or so since November of last year.
My energy level has gone through the roof, and I always thought I was pretty active before.
But this new energy has led me down a path of new adventures, and so is the beginning of the story of my Stand Up Paddle board.
Purchased last month, I take her out to Lake Pleasant for our inaugural run. I get here a little after sunrise and start the day slowly paddling along the silky smooth waters.
After a couple of hours, the winds and boats churn up the chop, and it takes every ounce of strength I have to not fall and make my way back to the shoreline.
I chill on the beach with my mid morning PBR, and revel in my small accomplishment.
I’m excited for a summer full of time at the various lakes, paddling without a care in the world.
Age is just a number, never forget that.
